A New Sunrise « Thread Started on Nov 5, 2007, 8:46pm »
The young Olathe awoke from her deep sleep. She had dreams about killing her first wildabeest that night. Her grey-blue eyes growing wide, Olathe licked her dark colored lips. She felt as if she could almost taste the wildabeest, fresh on her lips, the blood still warm. Olathe longed to be like her parents, she wanted to be a leader, big and strong like her father, and she wanted to be pretty, fast, and wise, like her mother. She looked around the den. Not many lions were in it. The only cubs were her brothers, and they were still asleep. She yearned to play with them. Tentatively, the young golden half-outlander lioness cub stood up, she shook out her thick pelt, sending stray twigs and other rubish flying through the air. Her jaws parted in a huge yawn, baring pearl white fangs. She took a few steps, the floor of the den was cold on her pads. Olathe lept upon her mother, tugging at her ear suddenly. "Mom! mom!" She hissed into her mothers ear. "Mom! I'm bored! I've been awake for hours" The stubborn cub sat upon her mothers slim body, determined to stay there until her mother woke up.

A slim-dark tan lioness slept deeply in a dark cave. Her ears were tipped black and her eyes were a dark blue. A slit in the cave wall let in a small sliver of light, the sun was already up. Someone nudged her shoulder and wailed. The lioness wrinkled her nose, why did she have to get woken up? She wanted to pretend to be asleep, hopefully the cat would go away. But, instead she blinked her eyes open and stretched out. "I'm... up!" she groaned. She squinted her eyes playfully, "What are we going to do?" Her dark tan tail flicked the small lioness on the nose.

"Fight!" the young Olathe exclaimed and bared her sharp, growing fangs. The golden lioness sunk down on her haunches and lept at her mother. Growling, she batted at her mothers face.

Nisha leaped to her feet, her tail flicking back and forth. "Shh! You furball, everyone's asleep! Come on, let's go outside." She began to go to the mouth of the cave and looked back, "Race you!" Nisha sprinted to the mouth of the cave and burst out laughing when she won.

OOC- NO POWERPLAYING! ha, it kinda was, it kinda wasn't. I'm letting it go because not even i know if it would be considered powerplaying or not.
IC- Olathe ran as fast as she could, looking down to see that her paws had become a blur. "heh, one day i'll beat you so bad, you won't even know what happened to you." Olathe glared at the ground, angry."

Nisha cuffed her daughter's head, "Shhh! You loud furball! What are you trying to wake everyone up?!" She shook her head realizing that yes was probably the answer.
